Report on Human Capital Challenges for the Indian Power Sector
The Indian Power Sector is witnessing unprecedented growth following the reforms process beginning with the Electricity Act 2003. India has set an ambitious target of Energy for all by 2012. However significant challenges remain including fuel availability, lack of trained manpower, supply delays in equipment and execution bottlenecks like land and environmental clearances.
